Winter activities
Garni Renzler is in Oberrasen, Rasen-Antholz, right at the entrance to the Antholz Valley – a quiet, sunny side valley of the well-known Puster Valley, just a few minutes from the Kronplatz holiday region.
Surrounded by lush meadows, deep green forests and the mighty rock faces of the Rieserferner group (Hochgall, 3,436 m), the guesthouse offers cosy rooms and apartments for guests who feel at home outdoors.
Whether on skis, by bike or on foot – the trails of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, the slopes and cross-country tracks around Kronplatz and the picturesque Dolomites are right on the doorstep.
Skiing on Kronplatz
Kronplatz is one of the most exciting and modern ski areas in South Tyrol: more than 121 km of slopes and 31 state-of-the-art lifts. From Garni Renzler in Rasen-Antholz it is only 5 km to the lifts, and the free ski bus stops right next to the house – ideal for an easy ski holiday right by Kronplatz.
Cross-country skiing at Lake Antholz
The Antholz Valley is biathlon country: every year the Biathlon World Cup comes to the Südtirol Arena by Lake Antholz. Around it you will find groomed tracks for beginners and experts, part of the Dolomiti NordicSki network – or simply walk around the frozen lake. About 15 km from Garni Renzler.

Bruneck
Bruneck is the unofficial capital of the Puster Valley: its medieval old town with arcades, authentic bars, restaurants and shops is made for strolling. In winter more than 30 festively decorated wooden huts turn the old town into one of the loveliest Christmas markets in South Tyrol, with the illuminated Kronplatz as a backdrop. Only 10 km from Garni Renzler – a perfect day trip.
Lake Braies
Lake Braies is considered the most beautiful lake in South Tyrol: emerald-green water beneath the Seekofel massif, at 1,494 m in the Dolomites. In winter it is far quieter than in high season and enchants with its snowy setting – ideal for a walk along the shore or on the circular path around the lake. It is about 18 km from Garni Renzler in Rasen-Antholz.
